Road trip!!

Road trips are the greatest. I started several projects and managed to only finish 1!!! Haha oh well. My first project I started I probably could have finished on the way home but decided to start a new hat that I learned how to make by someone I met while on my trip.  It's a pretty simple patten. Cast on an odd number or stitches. I placed a marker for my round just for reference incase I want to change colors or want to decrease for the crown of the hat. Anyway I CO 71 sts. Joining in the round the pattern says to k2,p2. Continue this pattern for the rest of the hat. Eventually when you get the the end of the round there will be one less stitch so you will either have to k1 or p1 from the other side of the round, that's just fine. It's supposed to be like that. It creates a really neat seed patten. Not to mention it's a very easy pattern to do so conversing with others is easy as well.
The other project I started was a hat as well. It's called the Joey hat and can be found in revelry. I doubled up my yarn and used some bigger needles than the pattern calls for and it tells you how to make the hat bigger or smaller. I of corse made mine smaller. I'll post pictures of them when I finish them 😊
That's the latest of my crafting adventures. I hope to get further on my quilt soon. I've decided on a pattern finally just need to remember to buy fabric now. I've meet someone willing to teach me without charging me an arm and a leg. Woot!!
More details on that when I have more time to post.

Cowl for Molly!

YES!!! Finally found a cowl pattern that I LOVE! thanks to my favorite website ravelry.com

I have some random yarn that should be pretty warm and another yarn that's just pretty....don't really know how to describe it. The pattern that I found is on another blog (here's the link).  It should be perfect. Naturally I like to make things on bigger needles.  In this pattern it gives the repeat of pattern which is perfect. I get to use large needles bulky combination of yarns which will mean a beautiful cowl! I'm excited.

Here's a rough idea to what I'll be knitting:
using size 13 circular needles I'll be casting on 51 stitches (because the pattern I'm following says to cast on 10+1)
work a few rows of guarder stitch then begin the pattern. in the end there will be spirals in the cowl. I will post pictures when I'm finished.

Back to knitting!
